APPLICATIONS / MAILBASE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 16, 2026

Overview

MailBase is a private, locally running desktop email application used by one individual. It is not a public email service, social platform, or commercial data service.

Email access

When I connect a Gmail account, MailBase uses Google OAuth and the Gmail API only after I authorize access. This allows the application to provide email functions such as reading, searching, organizing, composing, sending, replying, forwarding, and managing messages.

Local storage

MailBase is designed to run on my computer. Email information and application data may be stored locally so the application can function.

No selling or advertising

MailBase does not sell email data, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles about other people.

Sharing

MailBase does not share email data with other people or companies. Information may leave the computer only when necessary to communicate with Google, complete an email action I request, or comply with the law.

Authorization and deletion

I control which accounts MailBase can access. I can revoke access through my Google Account settings. I can also remove MailBase's locally stored data from my computer.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the way MailBase works or stores information changes.
